How we use your information
- To provide consultations, prescription fulfilment, laboratory tests and delivery
- To process payments, hold funds in escrow until a service is completed, and pay providers
- To verify the identity of both patients and the professionals on the platform
- To notify you about appointments, orders, messages and payments
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse and misuse of the platform
- To meet our legal, regulatory and record keeping obligations
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your health information for advertising.
Who we share it with
- The provider you choose. When you book a consultation, send a prescription or order a test, the provider receives the information they need to serve you. They do not see your unrelated records.
- Payment partner. Monnify, to issue your funding account and process payments and withdrawals.
- Service providers. Cloud hosting, file storage, email and SMS delivery, and push notifications, acting on our instructions.
- Authorities. Where we are legally required to disclose, or to protect someone from serious harm.
How we protect your information
All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit. Passwords and transaction PINs are stored hashed, never in readable form. Access to production systems is restricted. If you enable biometric sign in, your fingerprint or face data never leaves your device and is never sent to us.
How long we keep it
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. Health and financial records are kept for as long as required by Nigerian medical and financial record keeping rules, even after an account is closed. When a retention period ends, the records are deleted or anonymised.
Your rights and choices
- Access and correction. You can view and update your details in the app under Profile.
- Deletion. You can delete your account in the app, or request deletion at https://api.licomeds.com/delete-account/.
- Notifications. You can turn push notifications off in Settings.
- Location. You can withdraw location permission at any time in your device settings. Nearby search will stop working, the rest of the app will not.
Changes to this policy
If we make a material change we will update the date above and, where the change significantly affects you, notify you in the app.
